Option
#1: Enhance American Economic Productivity.
Submitted By: Ken Wilson, Tacoma, Washington
Provide completely free college for approx. 55,000,000 years
and boost the economy of the USA. Given a four year degree, this
amounts to 13,750,000 americans being able to go to college for
free. Given that many baby boomers are set to retire, this would
help existing and new industries achieve higher levels of productivity
and avoid the shortage of trained workers that is sure to occur
with the retirement of the baby boomers. This senario would also
open access to college for many poorer americans and thereby lessening
the economic divide, thereby making the USA a more stable and
just country.
